rental car question?

I will be renting a car for 28 days and driving to most of my destinations but I have a problem in venice- I have a room reservation in a nice hotel but since it is on the water where do you leave your car? last time I did this trip I took the train.

The two leading options are Piazzale Roma and Tronchetto - - an entire island just for parking. Search "Tronchetto" here on this forum and you will find plenty of information.

Best wishes,

Rex
Steve,
Are you renting or leasing a car? I ask because by leasing you can save considerably in costs. Both Renault and Pugeot have leasing programs if you're going to need a car in excess of 17 days. You might want to investigate leasing options before committing to a rental. A search on this forum for Rental or auto leasing should turn up info. If not drop me an Email.

Steve: apart from your question - you should be LEASING a car, not renting one. You'll save a boodle in any rental over 18 days. Really - you get a brand new car and save many dollars a day.

You can leave your car in a carpark in Mestre or at any train station on the way into Venice. Don't leave ANYTHING in the car!
