Rental Car in Czech Republic

Hello,
We will be visiting Prague this August. After 3 days in Prague, we are travelling through the Czech countryside and will rent a car.

Can anyone recommend a reliable and reasonable car rental company? I understand driving through Czech Republic is easy.
Thank you.
Karen

We hired our car through Auto Europe and were very happy with it. We loved our driving trip through Czech Republic and beyond and had no troubles to speak of at all in terms of the driving.

Hi; Try www.carrentals.com We like them because you pay at the car rental 'counter', not when you book. We have also used www.AutoEurope.com and www.novacarhire.com with good results. Dick

Hi Dick,
I went on to carrentals website & their prices look reasonable. I like the idea that you don't have to give them your credit card info until you pick up the car. But that does make me a little nervous that they won't have a car for us because we don't have to give a deposit in advance. Have you ever had any problems like this when you used them?
Thanks.

Hi Karen; We have used this consolidator twice in Europe before with no problems. We also have a car rented in California with them in August. You could consider renting with them and when you find out what company you will be with, e-mail them direct with your confirmation number to 'double check' the booking. In April, using 'Car Rentals', I had a question and e-mailed the company direct and received an answer. Dick

Hi Karen; I just found and booked a great air fare to Germany in early September. Was $801 yesterday and $579 today non-stop to Munich. So I just rented my car with [who else] www.carrentals.com I too, like the fact there is no up front costs. We love Prague. Enjoy your trip. Dick
