Naturally, it will vary with what size car, possibly the duration of the rental, and of course, it will depende on what car rental company provides you your car.
But 150-350 euro might be typical.
Best wishes,
Rex

Go to hertz.com, avis.com or autoeurope.com plug in your information and see what the drop off charge is. You get to the point where you see the quote, but don't have to book it so you can get an idea of all the costs.

Others have mentioned that dropping the car off in Strasbourg and picking another one up there might be a way of avoiding the drop off charge to a foreign country, as if the rental agencies are treating Strasbourg as part of either country.

Just one word of caution. Autoeurope quotes on line normally do not show the drop off charges. But you can enter it for a quote (no obligation or prepayment) and get an email quote back that will include that drop off. I just did this with AutoEurope with a Venice pick up. I got excited when the website showed no drop off in Cannes, but when the quote comes through it was an extra $260. I also tried to do Monte Carlo thinking maybe it would be less of a drop off -- and it was $426. We'll be dropping off in San Remo and taking the train into Cannes.
