renfe ticket localizer number - help
I just bought a ticket from the renfe website and attempted to cancel it within the two hours time frame to avoid charges. Somehow it doesn't accept the 6-charater localizer number which was previously given when I brought the ticket. It only accept a 8-characher localizer number? What should I do? Do you know maybe I missed something when I print out the ticket? Where I can find a 8-character localizer number? Help!

I've never attempted to cancel a ticket so I can't help you specifically but some of my questions my help you figure it out.
Are you sure the 6-character number you were given was the localizer number and not some other number? What else is there on your printout? Is it in Spanish?
If you were going to make other reservations anyway you might consider re-booking BEFORE cancelling the others to see how THAT new booking was different from the original and that new process might give you the answer to how to cancel the original booking.
If all else fails you can always email them (via the link at the lefthand menu) on the Cancellations page.
