Relaxing Rome with Kids-water activity

Hi,

We'll be in Rome the first week of August and I hear it's hot and humid around this time. I have 2 days of sightseeing planned with kids. We've been there so just want to show them the highlights.

I wanted to plan a half day around some water-type activity. I found some nice thermal baths in Tivoli and some right in Rome that have pools and spa type activities for us. Kids are 8 and 10. Any suggestions. That evening, I plan to stroll Borghese Park.

Thanks.

Not sure this is what you are looking for - but we were pretty wiped out by the time we arrived in Rome. We had been to Paris, Montruex and Florence and then 4 nights in Rome...We had our then 10 and 13 year old with us. One day we went to the Hotel De Russie. They have an indoor pool in the spa area that plenty of children were in. We were surprised - there were some age guidelines so you might want to double check. Dh and I had massages and the kids relaxed in the pool. We timed it so one of us was with them. It is a smaller pool but the hotel was within walking distance from our apartment by the Spanish Steps.

Not sure this is what you are looking for but it was a great way to relax for all of us.

The other thing we did was rent bikes in the Borghese Park and ride around... it was a relaxing thing to do as well - sat by some of the fountains which some were cooling off IN...

We were there in the beginning of July.

Thanks-we may just do that. I did see that hotel as I was looking around. Has anyone been to the thermal baths in Tivoli?

Thanks for the heads up. Any other suggestions; if not we'll just hand out in the park. Has anyone done Gladiator School-looks interesting with nice reviews?

I do not think that the park denotes a whole day - we did a bike ride and sat by the fountain etc and it was a few hours...
