Recamier/Cigale, Gorille Blanc in Paris

Does anyone know if these restos are the same place or not? Le Gorille Blanc is said to be the former Cigale, but Cigale/Recamier used to be the same place, and le Gorille gives a slightly different address. I'm leaving Sunday, so might investigate on Tuesday when I go buy books at LBM, which is quite near this place or places.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Jess215, Le Gorille Blanc is at 11 bis, rue Chomel where the old La Cigale was. The new incarnation of La Cigale, La Cigale Récamier is located at 4, rue Récamier (really not too far away). I've eaten at both Cigales. They're great!

Here's are 2 pics of the new place (unfortunately, they wouldn't allow me to take photos of the food after chiding me for taking a photo of the interior):

If they offer you some of Daniel's (the barkeep) homemade cured saucisson, take it! It's divine!!

back in the sixties, it was the hotel and terrace where all the fashion buyers stayed and the food at Recamier was very good.

Thank you so much - if I get to one or both, I'll let you know. I am hoping to drop in for lunch w/o a reservation; the elecricity museum right next door sometimes has amazingly good exhibits (free). Last March they featured the artist/botanist Patrick Blanc. I have fantasized about living at Square Recamier; in real life I live in Newton, MA, -- do I remember that one of you lives in Cambridge?

Jess, you should definitely go to the Boston GTG. Go for me since I won't be able to make it.

Never had to make reservations either time at either place. Square Récamier is beautiful!
