Reasonable quiet Hotel near Campo de Fiori

We are spending just one day and night in Rome before boarding a cruise. We have previously visited Rome, but have never been very happy with our hotel locations. Does anyone have a suggestion? We love Campo de Fiori, so we were going to try to find something nearby.

I think it might be like trying to find a quiet hotel in Times Square. The one I stayed at was fine until the bars closed and all the young men stood outside drinking and smoking until 4 or so.

Hotel Portoghesi is near Piazza Navona and is a fairly reasonable hotel. Quick walk to Campo.

Hello inneeedofadvice! I agree with you that it's beautiful around Campo dei Fiori! Once I stayed here and found it to be excellent value for money:

The Residenza San Panteleo is a small hotel/b&b located between Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. It's a modest 2* place, and some of the rooms overlook a busy street, but it's inexpensive, clean, and in a fabulous location.

We liked Hotel Smeraldo. It was in a great location. Vicolo dei Chiodaroli 9

It's just a few short blocks from Campo de Fiori but away from a main street so it's quiet.

Hotel Teatro di Pompeo is quite close to Campo di Fiori and was extremely quiet when we last stayed there (2008). It is also quite unique, as the breakast area is in the basement which is the ruins of the Roman-era Theater of Pompey.
