reasonable accomidations in Paris?

I will be spending 3 nights in Paris at the end of June. I am looking for a small, quaint affordable hotel or private room in a hostel for two people. I would love to be in walking distance if not in the heart of it all. Any recommendations for a charming bargain?

Check out the Hotel Chopin. I've not stayed there but I love the look of the lobby and the location in the passage is great

You say "reasonable" and "affordable" - well those mean different things to everybody. What is your actual $ or € budget per night?

Bringing your message back up "to the top" since you are new here - - how do I know that? click on your own name - - a valuable tip that Fodors fails to tell you when they send you that initial e-mail confirming your registration.

Welcome to the forum.

Best wishes,

Rex

Have a look at Hotel Paris Bercy, a nice and very cheap hotel in the 12th...ideal for small budget! Rooms have reasonable size for the price you pay. Some friends of mine stayed there 2 months ago and were very happy of the location, not in the too toursity Paris, but with 2 metro lines passing near the hotel. The metro stop is Daumesnil...Rooms were very clean...

Have a nice trip!

Try this: www.mije.com They have three hotel/hostels, all well located in the 4th arrondissement, with double rooms under 40 euros, breakfast included, all in 17th-century or earlier buildings. The common areas of the "Maubuisson" exude charm and the setting is great.

check out hotel mont blanc (hotelmontblanc.com) in the 5th. $72-80 for two people, clean, double glazed window front rooms or courtyard rooms, a block from boul mich and a block from the seine in the 5th...
