Ravenna - Beach Beach?
HI fellow travelers. I will be staying w a friend in Ravenna for 2 nights before heading out on our cruise and would like to go to one of the beaches for an afternoon for a change of pace and scenery. We will have already been in Bologna. We are healthy, active 60 yr olds, looking for someplace with a nice resort type feel. Looking to walk on the beach, enjoy lunch and maybe even dinner on the beach. Would like suggestions on:
1. Best way to get there? I read there is a bus from the train station and one can bike there but thinking taxi is quickest and easiest?
2. Which beach? Is Punta Marina one of the nicer ones or what other suggestions do you have?
3. Luncheon and possibly dinner spot close to beach, with beach views would be nice.
Thank you.
Oops on title - meant Best Beach?

I've never been to any beach in Ravenna, but the following blog (in Italian ) has a pretty good description of what they recommend as the five best beaches there.

You can plug the link into translate.google.com
I have been to the Delta del Po, on a boat, which is a beautiful marine nature reserve. Two of the beaches are mentioned as being in that vicinity. Bring mosquito repellent.
