As no one else has answered, I will relate my own experience, though being six years old it hardly counts as 'recent.'
At the time we stayed there, it was a simple, almost dowdy two-star but with a pleasant garden terrace and a gorgeous five star view. The owner had a parrot (or some such bird) which he kept in the hall near the breakfast room. That bird was hilarious, since among other things it had learned to imitate the fax machine, which also sat in the hall. It was that kind of place. I'd stay again.

Ack! Just reread this. Didn't mean to imply that nobody else has answered AT ALL (so sorry, 2Italy and Steve_James!) I meant, that nobody else has answered with anecdotes about their experiences at this hotel. Enjoy your stay, lorenjune.
