Church /Hotel in Ravello
Please help us decide which church to choose for Catholic wedding in Ravello, Duomo or other? Also need help choosing hotel for wedding guests. I always stay in Positano and know very little about Ravello hotels except Cimbrone, Palumbo, and Sasso. I am looking for one more moderately priced, but still charming. We would appreciate any information you can give us. Thank you. WT

Thanks so much for your help. I looked up the Parsifal and it looks great, exactly what I was looking for. I had not heard of it! I had checked out the Villa Maria web site. I like the look of the Parsifal better, but the Villa Maria has access to a pool I believe. We will be there in June, 2004.
Is there any more information you can give me about these two? Is the Parsifal in town? Can either of you or anyone else compare the two for me. Thanks again.

The Villa Maria is on the road leading from the piazza to the Villa Cimbrone. We did not stay there but stopped for a drink in the restaurant at sundown. The hotel looked very nice & the view from the restaurant (looking towards Amalfi) is stunning.
I didn't see the Parsifal . . .

Texan,
The Parsifal is just off the main road, about a five-minute walk east of Cimbrone/Ruffulo. It is modest (quaint?) by Sasso standards, but costs a lot less. The coastal views are superb from the rooms and the restaurant. Rooms are half-board, which means breakfast and lunch OR dinner are included (ran around $160 for us). The dinners were elegant and excellent. The kitchen makes its own pastries, etc, and conducts cooking classes. If you have e-mail, I have pictures.
One possible minus for you: no pool...
