Rail pass

Has anyone travelled on the RailPass through Portugal only??Going soon to a family function.and am looking to stay in Portugal.Any good hop-off towns with good places to stay would be most helpful.Pass will be good for 3-4 daysThanks to all.

Where you can ride the train system for x # of days...you can go from town to town..or get off for a few hours,overnight or however long you want to stay...get back on then travel some more

I haven't used a Portugal RailPass: point-to-point rail fares are inexpensive, so there's a question of whether a railpass would be worthwhile.
I have taken Alfa Pendular and supplemented with Bus or local train.
