Brussels Layover
We have a four hour layover in Brussels on Tuesday morning. Is that enought time to leave the airport and do anything? We arrive at 7:30 and depart at 11:50. I'm just afraid we'll be in rush hour traffic. Are we better off grabbing breakfast and taking a nap?

Hi G,
>We arrive at 7:30 and depart at 11:50.
You are ** scheduled ** to arrive at 07:30.
You still have to get off the plane and through passport control, figure 1 hr.
You will have to get back by 10:30 to clear Security and check in.
That gives you about 2 hr.

Well, I'm a little more daring.
20 minutes each way from the airport to Central Station plus a maximum of two hours at the airpirt before your flight.
I think you should have an hour in Brussels.
Central Station is no more than 10 minutes from the train station. You have the chocolate shops wen route to Grand Place and maybe even a short detour to Manequin Pis.
Make sure you're back at the train station 2 1/2 hours before your flight.

I would also recomend that you stay put : the risk is not worth such a short time in Brussels. As for Belgian chocolates, you can buy them at the airport... Godiva and Neuhaus are the best fancy ones (try their "pralines" and Cote d'Or is the best "everyday" chocolate. Enjoy your trip. Tilda
