Quisisana is the best hotel on Capri. It has an excellent reputation amongst the international jet set. It is just steps away from Piazza Umberto, which is the living room of Capri. Lounging by the pool at Quisisana is a fantastic way to spot a celebrity, member of the peerage, or royal personage. (The Agnellis stay at Quisisana.) However, many people are intimidated by Quisisana. If you are the namby-pamby type, Quisisana may not be right for you. Remember to bring your Pucci-print blouses, Rebecca Moses hat, and Loewe sunglasses. And if you don't have JP Tod slip-ons, you can buy a pair on the island. (Everyone at Quisisana wears them.) Ciao.

If you can get a decent rate at the Quissisana you might want to jump on it. It is a lovely hotel and the location is good. We stayed at Casa Morgano which is owned by the same family as the Quissisana and enjoyed it. It is a short walk from the mail part of town and the rooms have nice views.

Alex, go for the Quisisana, I love the Mamela, but it can't compare to the Q.
