Quick question re: Paris Museum Pass
I read in another post that mentioned teenagers don't have to purchase a 2 or 5 day pass, and could get into the museums for free. Is that correct? Would he be able to go to bypass the line like pass-holders would?

Yes, 18 and under enter free--bring identification just in case. They enter with the Museum pass holder. I don't think they can bypass a line without a pass holder with them however.

thanks. I assume his school ID card with his photo will suffice, or his passport too. However his passport pic looks nothing like him because he was 12 at the time. Completely different face at 16.

It varies by museum as to which age of youths are allowed in free. A lot of the major ones (Louvre, Orsay, etc) allow those LESS than 18 in free, but not 18.

My 17-year-old son and I will be visiting museums at different times. So just to clarify, if he wants to skip lines, he will have to get a museum pass?

No, WillTravel: You son can go right through the same line you'll go through. Just make sure he has ID in case they ask for proof of age.

Does the ID have to be a passport? I'd prefer if he kept that in the in-room safe.

No, there's no requirement that it be a passport. A driver's license or student ID will do fine.
