questions regarding Rudesheim.

Hello everyone,
My mother and I are planning a trip to Rudesheim and are staying at the Hotel Zum Gruener Kranz. However, we cannot find any reviews on it. Has anyone ever stayed here or seen this hotel?

Also, does anyone know the best way to get from Rudesheim to Frankfurt Main Airport??

Thanks, I look forward to chatting with you.

Tmo

Hi TMO - you can take a train from Rudesheim to the airport in Frankfurt.
You can check the schedules and routes here:
http://www.reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

I did a quick search and it looks like this route requires a train change at least once. So, check that so you get the fewest changes you can. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to get there.

Have fun! I enjoyed wandering around Rudesheim, they have a cable car ride that was great!

Why are you going to Rudesheim? It's pretty dumpy in my opion. It has the feel of a carnival/boardwalk. Much better choices on the Rhein. Do a search above on the Rhein and there is tons of information on places to stay, etc.

If you are renting a car, it's a short drive on the Autobahn. The rental car company will give you directions if you choose that method of transportation.

I agree with Curious but the wine there is quite good. Then again, there's good wine all over this region.

Still looking for information on this hotel. I agree there are better places along the Rhine, but I will be there in December and would like to see the Christmas market in Ruedesheim.

TMO, We spent 3 days in Rudesheim two years in December and we loved it. Although there is not a whole lot to do the Christmas mart is wonderful and a lot of fun. The town has some great bars and restaurants and it is located directly on the Rhine, it is very pretty for Christmas. We rented a vehicle and it was a short drive (under an hour) from Frankfurt Airport...Enjoy, Mikek
