Question re London National Rail booth

Hi, there - need to purchase rail ticket to be used in conjunction with two for one discounts. Where is the closest National Rail booth to St. James or Westminster tube stations? TIA, cdg

Victoria or Waterloo

You can see most them on the tube map - look for the red symbol that looks like two bird feet

No stand alone 'booths' - you want a train station.

St. James's is nearest Victoria, and Westminster is nearest Waterloo or Charing Cross.

If landing at Gatwick Airport there is a National Rail Station there too. Heathrow's rail station I believe is not a National Rail Station.

PalenQ is correct! Heathrow does not have a national rail station.

Got it! Thanks y'all! If we opt not to go with the National Rail card, we would simply need two oyster cards which we can purchase at Heathrow. Is that correct?

I thought the 2 for 1 was only for paper national rail tickets - how does having an Oyster Card do that - kind of confused, as usual - please explain - thanks.

Easy - The Oyster is for travel in from and out to LHR and any trips/days not covered by the paper travelcard.

jamikins . . . In the OP

I understand ChicagoDallasGirl wants Oysters to get in from LHR etc and papercctravelcards for the 2for1's, which makes total sense.
