Question on the i amsterdam card and dining
Is anyone familiar with the "i amsterdam card"? I found it offered on an Amsterdam web site. Apparently it was previously known as an "Amsterdam Pass". With the purchase of it, admission to certain museums is free, public transportation is free, and a canal boat tour is included. The cost for a 48 hour pass is 41 euros per person. I'm wondering if this is a value and how usable it is. I'd hate to spend the money and find out that it can't be used where we want to go. (I'm especially concerned because of all the special exhibits that seem to be in place, honoring Rembrandt's birthday.) It appears that the Rijksmuseum and the VanGogh are included (but, again, I wonder about special exhibits), but not the Anne Frank Hus.
I will only be in Amsterdam for a couple of days the end of May. Since this is my first trip there, I'm not really savvy! Earlier this month I got some advice on what to do & see, and am really interested in the Rembrandt exhibition in the wing of the Rijksmuseum that is open, the VanGogh museum, a canal tour, and the Anne Frank Hus. Weather permitting, we'd also like to take a stroll in the Vondel Park.
Suggestions for dining would also be appreciated. I've read they have great Indonesian food, so would like suggestions for that, but are interested in "traditional Dutch" food as well.

We bought the cards and thought it was about a wash. We didn't eat at any of the restaurants that were listed, but it was handy for the museums. (Didn't have to wait in line at the Riksjmuseum.) We waited in a long line at the VVV near Centraal Station to buy them and then later found out we could have bought them at our hotel. (This was about 6 years ago, so it could be different.)

Lily & Bird, thanks for the comments. Maybe I'll just try to buy tickets to my preferred attractions ahead of time. I'll look into prices, etc. a little more before I make up my mind. I was really just wondering how familiar people were with the card as I haven't read anything about it on this forum.
Still looking for dining advice!!
Thanks.

Now you've got me interested nevermind as we'll be in Amsterdam in May. Seems like a good deal financially as the museums are 9 Euros each, the canal boat is 10, so starts to add up if you were planning on doing those things anyway. And it does include public transport. Anyone else have feedback on this card?
