Question for Recent Munich visitors

Has anybody been to the Hofbrauhaus lately and if you were in the neighborhood, did you notice whether the Bayern München soccer store is still in business? If I remember correctly, as you walked out of the Hofbrauhaus, it was in the pedestrian only area to the left, across from the tacky souvenir shops. If anyone can direct me to their website (provided they are still in business) please let me know. I'm taking a group of 8th graders (soccer players) through Germany and I remember that store as being a place they'd enjoy spending their money in.

I was there last year and can't honestly remember about the place you refer to, but there is a shop in the hauptbanhof where you can buy a wide variety of Bayern Munchen stuff.

p.s. You have earned my respect for being brave enough to travel with 8th graders.

Zeus -

I was there in December, but didn't notice a soccer store. You might consider sending a note to the Munich tourist office - here's their address:

And the store is still listed in the FCBayern website. Orlandostrasse 1 (near Hofbräuhaus)

The FC Bayern store in the Hauptbahnhof is closing (or is closed already) according to a sign on the door when I was there in Feb. Don't know about the one is Hofbrauhaus, I didn't see that one.

Thnaks for the help. The store I was thinking of is indeed on Orlandostrasse. Maybe I can duck into the Hofbrauhaus while the kids pick up some souvenirs.

Take your kids with you to the Hofbrauhaus, it's a family deal. Even very small children (3-4yrs old) are served in small beer mugs. The kids would enjoy it.

As I am not exactly a fan of Bayern München, I would consider their store to be part of those tacky souvenir stores ;-)...
Seriously, I don't know if that store is still open, but the sport store of Karstadt Oberpollinger near Stachus offers a good selection of soccer jerseys!
