So bob_brown, The joke is that Americans want to fit in but are cheap? You need to find funnier jokes, that one is just lame.

Gone,I know how you feel a few day ago I posted for the first time and was called a troll. I thought Gretchen meant a troll like an ugly troll!!!If you saw me you wouldn't think that ha. well any how I thought I had commited a murder I really am missing the point about that troll thing, there are a bunch of very travel savvy people, but I don't get the troll thing. If you thought someone was busting balls, just don't respond.I hope I hang around long enough to get it.BY the way Johnnie Cash wore black and he was cool!!!!

lilminkey, where were you called a troll? I looked but could not find the post. How could anyone call a little minkey a troll?
Aside from Inspector Cleuseau? lol

Black is for insecure people,
for funerals,
for witches,
for fun,
for evenings on the town.

Color is to show your spirit,
to feel alive in the season of the colors,
to be creative,
to enjoy life.

But black is seductive on a date,

I imagine it will be very difficult for anyone to replace the original Inspector Cleaseau, ( who btw, wore black) but I would be willing to give Steve Martin a try!

TONDALA.I noticed the cyperspace and the automobile has much in commen .people driving act aggresive and will think nothing of chucking you the bird.I found them to be cowards ,when Iwas a kid Iwould make it a habit to pull punks out of there cars,I lived in a place called Federal hill Mafia families and plenty of trouble.I loved every second of it.Now people try to get you in untruths they go back to your comments you have made and do dectective work.personally its way to much work for so little pay off. Now For you to take notice if your a female maybe its the comment about my good looks .Well I will tell you I am handsome .I'm getting tired but what I meant about being a kid Iwas maybe in my early twentys at the time, and I was in the Vietnam conflict That was a long time ago and a very hard time in my life. and Iwas just a kid and they took my innocence.Ihope your investigation works out if CAN HELP PLEASE LET ME KNOW.How can you feel like it.

Hi Pixie! I just got to the computer tonight and I wondered who would have revived this old thread. I had forgotton about it, but it was fun to read again.

Thanks! I may even need to reread the muffin threads, they are good for a laugh.

See ya on the wntw board! At least I think that is you. Two pixielilly's going to London would be a stretch. Fashion posts on this one usually stir up quite a fuss. Good instincts on hanging back on hanging back from posting.

Nothing has 'em screaming troll like one of these posts. I don't know why either.

Apparently my little pea brain skips a beat skips a beat when it is this late.

And don't let them scare you off Pixie.
There is a great deal of usefull info on this board and a lot of great posters especially when it comes to the UK and Paris. Their bark is usually worse than their bite.

There were headlines in the Chicago Tribune and another local paper this week re: "After three years, black is back on the runways!"

I could care less, but FYI for those who do care about such things. That's the recent "read" in podunk.

For obxgirl or whatever.
Send me some that meet with your approval and meet your standards and let me have a shot at telling you what I think.

If you think it was lame, perhaps you missed the point. Namely, that this obsession with fitting in is in itself lame.

Or perhaps your sensitivities were struck. At any rate, I am not overly concerned with your rejection.
It, too, was lame.

LOL, well, maybe it is just a matter of taste , but I thought bobs joke was funny.
Actually, I think the whole essence of a joke is that something about it is lame.

I thought Bob's joke was funny also. You can't take fashion seriously.

dsm22,

hi! yep, it's me; i *thought* that was you back up the thread, suggesting the original poster ask her question on the WTNW boards! (good advive, btw...)

as far as the unfriendly, secret handshake, members-only attitude of some people on these boards, maybe they should post a list of what is (and is NOT) considered to be an "appropriate" topic of conversation on these forums. not that i'd pay any attention, but it might at least be amusing.

and most people i've seen here *are* quite friendly; the others are mainly just annoying.

where's the WTNW board?

my fashion joke: A conservative guy, dress: Brooks Bros
casual: L.l. Bean
shows up forwork wearing an earring. Everyone is astounded that this guy would change his style.
"Hey, what's up with the earring, " someone finally asks.
He answeres, "My wife found it in our bed, So I thought it wise to wear it."
Gone, you wear whatever makes you feel good and confortable.
