I love this hotel! I see on some websites that it is in the Museum District..then others, the Business District. I wanted to stay at the Acro Hotel but it wasn't available and love the location, from what I have seen online. I will be arriving on one of the high speed trains, to Amsterdam

It is in the financial/business district next to the World Trade Centre, and close to Amsterdam Zuid station. The high speed trains don't stop at Zuid though, so you would need to get a tram out from Centraal, or change trains at Schiphol station.
You would need to get a tram, bus or train into the centre of the city.
The area where the hotel is is close to a major motorway which may give some noise, and the area is pretty much deserted at night - no nightlife nearby.

That location wouldn't be my choice if you wanted to do the usual touristy things in Amsterdam (fine if you're doing business at a trade show). It will feel like a long-ish tram ride to and from the city centre.

Thanks for the advice. We are going to Amsterdam to explore and party really. lol...Like I said the Acro Hotel in the museum district seemed great..but its booked. Do you know of another hotel in that area that is inexpensive? What about that area?

I stayed here: www.kaphotel.nl it's a modest 2-star with breakfast included. Easy enough walking distance to Leidseplein and Vondelpark. A bit further from Central which I liked.
