sf - I would use the miles for a flight to save the $$ right now even if it was a "cheap" flight of 600 -800 to Europe. I also tend to wonder about miles and worry at times that they will just "go" away - that the airlines will do away with them. Hard to imagine, but occasionally I wonder.
