Provence River Cruise

Would like to know if anyone has taken river cruise on Chardonnay or Provence by Continental Waterways. In general how would you rate it? Also how was the food. JUst two of us traveling in mid May. THanks for any feedback!

Cruising on chardonnay sounds pretty tempting, but I'm not sure how you could do it! Is that the name of a cruise? And where in Provence would you be going? It's a huge area.

I believe Chardonnay and Provence are the name of the boats that cruise the Rhone.

Underhill, care to bend elbows together? The idea of cruising on Chardonnay sounds real good to me.

klpendleton - I was assuming these boats cruise the Rhone since you didn't mention the route. But these boats might cruise another route.

For people who enjoy cruising, these trips are ideal, smaller boats (do find out how many passegers) and you do day-trips at certain stops.

Not being a cruise person I certainly cannot comments, but would suggest you ask Continental Waterways for references and ask these questions of particular responders (those who will allow email or phone contact). Continental is certainly a reputable compay and should have such references.

Underhill - anytime! LOL!

Thanks for the replies. Ms Chardonnay is a river barge on the Rhone in Provence area. Continental Waterways gives it 4 stars. It can hold up to 50 people. Wondered if anyone had been on this or a similar cruise. The sister boat is Ms Provence. Just wondered how the food was and amenities. WOuld be traveling in mid May. Thanks again!
