Problem with SNCF

I worked through the SNCF web site with no problem, entered my credit card info, and hit "confirm". I got a blank screen, with nothing to print, and could not use my "back" arrow either. Does anyone (Morgan???) know if the transaction went through? It's too soon to check with my credit card company, and I don't have the printed tickets anyway. Thanks for the help.

Everyday, every day there is some such post about frustration with the sncf site - maybe because you didn't decline insurance or some arcane reason - why sncf can't make it user friendly says a lot about the sncf - no way to run a railway!

If you had a blank screen you could have tried the "refresh" button on your toolbar... guess it's too late for that now?

Were you buying a full-fare ticket? If so you could perhaps rebook the ticket (hopefully with no problems) then get a refund for the first effort..?

I was buying 2 Prems, I declined insurance, and I did try the refresh button! My credit card co. says the charge should come through by tonight, so maybe the best thing to do is wait another day and try again.

If the transaction had gone through you would have gotten two emails immediately from SNCF, both variations on a confirmation.

So if you didn't get email confirmation I'd guess the transaction didn't go through.

Forgot - to be absolutely sure you can always call the SNCF. From the States that number is 011-33-8-92-35-35-37.

Hi a,

It could have been a computer glitch.

If you have AOL it could have been a spam filter problem.

Try simulating buying the ticket again. If the transaction wasn't completed the other ticket might still be there.

Don't buy another ticket until you check with your cc company.

Good luck
