Booking TGV ticket from Australia

Hello again!

I am finalising the details of my trip in October, but am having some problems booking a TGV ticket return Paris - Avignon.

I live in Australia, and the site does not offer that as a place of residence (in the section that you have to choose the country you are from). This seems to mean they cannot post my ticket to me.

This isn't a problem, I am happy to print out the ticket and take it with me, however it appears I am not able to book without providing my postal address (which I can't give as it doesn't list Australia. Fiji, yes, Tahiti, yes ... Australia, no. I am a little baffled!)

Can anybody help me with this at all? (The reason I am trying to book now is so I can buy the cheaper tickets, incase there was any confusion!).

Kind regards and thank you in advance!

You must have chosen to buy the insurance. That's why you were asked your full address. In this case, you will have no self-printing option either. Cancel the insurance.

Put in France as your country. Then go through the whole process and print out your tickets on your computer.

Search for the thread here by Morgan which explains all of this in much detail. The thread is a great resource and should get you through the process without a problem.

By "postal address", did you mean just the country or a full address? I took is as the latter in my previous post. At the early stage of booking procedure, you have to choose your country (you just pick France)and if you go further (taking the insurance), you will be asked your full address.

Here's a link to the thread Kevin was talking about:

I've tried to give a fairly clear step by step process. Hope it helps and ask back if you still encounter problems.

Kappa, Kevin and MorganB - thank you so much for your help! I've sorted out the problem and been able to buy my tickets (it was the fact I had chosen insurance!) - thank you again, I really appreciate the help!!
