Private guide in Prague
Hi
I have found here past references to private tour guides named Sabina (I don't have a last name) and Dana.
Has anyone used their services recently?
Anyone else you would recommend?
We will be a family of five, visiting Prague next early March, all history buffs.

We (a group of 7) used Sabina in 2002 for a tour of Vysherad and surrounding architectural sights. We can recommend her highly. She met us at a nearby subway station and kept us engrossed the entire time. Very knowlegeable, informative, and well spoken. Very reasonable at $10 or so per hour. Her email is: [email protected]

I had to split my "full day tour" into 2 half-days last year between Sabina and her friend Martina. Both were fabulous, but I think for greater detail, I would hire Martina again. Her email is [email protected]

Speaking of pvt guides in Prague, I have lost contact with NINA J, a wonderful Prague native & tour guide. I've used her services as have friends. Her email server must have changed. Nina, are you out there? Is anyone in touch with Nina J of Prague? (I have her full last name but am unsure whether I ought to put it on the board unsolicited.)
If any affirmative answers, would love to hear from you at my email address.
Thanks.

Re: Efforts to locate my excellent pvt tour guide in Prague, NINA JELINKOVA, whose email server has apparently been changed...
Are any of you in touch with Nina? If so, could you please put me in touch with her, as I have recommended her to friends leaving for Prague in a few days? Thanks.

We had an excellent guide for a 1/2 day tour of Prague last year. His name was Dr. Michael and he is a semi-retired history professor at the University. He also gives tours through one of the agencies in Prague. This was arranged for us through Paul Laifer Tours in New Jersey. Sorry I can't remember the name of the agency in Prague, but Dr. Michael was very passionate, knowledgeable and delightful. Maybe someone else here knows how to get in touch with him.

Hi Elaine,
We used Dana Chaloupka last month and she was excellent. We were 2 couples in our 50's who have traveled extensively and often do not use a guide. Dana is very flexible and wants to make your experience in her city and her country the best it can be. She is energetic, extremely personable and has a wonderful sense of humor, along with an excellent command of our language. She will provide a good historical background of all the sites you visit with her. She can be reached at [email protected] or [email protected]

We took three different "Walking Tours" by various companies. One tour was just the two of us, the others had no more than 6 people. Inexpensive and very well done.

I have used Dana Chaloupka on 2 different trips to the Czech Republic. She is excellent. Dana is from Prague, speaks excellent English and really puts a lot of herself into her tours. She is very accomodating and extremely knowledgeable. I would strongly recommend her. She can be reached at [email protected]
