Prague or Croatia
We're a couple in our early 50's and our 20-year old daughter planning to either go to Prague-Budapest-Vienna or Croatia. We've been to Europe quite a few times........the latest was in Greece last year where we had a fabulous time, it's now my favorite European country. Croatia interest me more because it seems to be a more varied, interesting country but my husband and daughter want Prague-Budapest-Vienna.....which is too tame for me. I am still trying to convince them, LOL! Would appreciate any feedback, comments. Thank you.

Hi Cheryl8:
We LOVE Prague and would go back in a skinny minute, Budapest is nice but but Vienna was only okay. My vote would be to do the Croatia trip if you have done other European cities. I subscribe to Internationl Living and Coratia is all the rave right now-still kind of undiscovered, not horribly expensive and the Dalmation Coast looks beautiful!

How about Budapest/Croatia! We did this last year and it was fantastic. We used Sky Europe airlines to connect the two.
I have a very detailed trip report which you can find, dating probably in June/July 2006, just click on my name to find it.

I'm in my early 20s as well and I really want to go to Croatia. It's on the top of my list of places I still need to see. While Prague would be great as well, I still recommend Croatia. Just show your daughter pictures of Croatia and she's bound to want to go!

We were in Prague, Budapest & Vienna in 2005 & Slovenia/Croatia 2006. Until 2006 trip,my favorite was also Greece. We adored Croatia & Slovenia but a car is a must to capture the essence of the Julian Alps, charming university town of Ljubljana(which I'd return to in a heartbeat),fabulous Skocjan Caves, lovely quaint Piran, Istria's Motovun,Rovinj,& Pula, magnificent Plitvice Lakes, Trogir,Hvar Island, Peljesac Peninsula, & Dubrovnik. Need I say more?
