I haven't stayed there, but since no one seems to answer you I can describe the location. It is right on the old town square' across from the touist information office and the big clock. It is very crowded. The hotel has a nice reasonably priced restaurant. We stayed in an apartment on the other corner of the square and loved the restaurant. I hope this helps.
AA

I've eaten in the restaurant a few times, which I can recommend, but suggest you eat inside instead of outside, as there's a 60% service charge for dining outside. Menu was extensive, food was very good, and prices were very reasonable.

The hotel is in an excellent location, directly across from the Astrological Clock and the tourist information center. The only drawback that I can see is that since the area is so active, there might be extensive street noise.

I did not stay there, but like Leslie, I ate in the outdoor part of the restaurant (thinking I could people-watch) and was shocked at the outdoor surcharge and bad service. As for location, if you like a spot that is central to tourist attractions, it should suffice! What are the prices like?

Thanks for the input.

We've booked it over New Year's so it's a little more expensive than normal. Average about $195US a night plus we HAVE to buy the gala dinner at $90 a person.

At first I was going to skip it when I found out about that but we like staying very central and that seems to be one of the better points to start from for walking around everywhere.

I was also reading that they setup stall selling bottles of champagne on the square on new years eve. What a hoot! That ought to be interesting.

Glad to hear the food is decent as we'll be having new years dinner there.

Thanks again.
