Prague for 2 days worth the trip from Nuremberg?
We have an option to spend two nights in Prague while in Germany this December. We were booked to visit last year but airline canceled our flight out of Prague so we never made it.
The bus ride will be 3.5 hours each way and we do have to return to Nuremberg to meet up with friends.
Our other options are two nights in Cologne or daytrips from Nuremberg (already spent time here last trip so wish to see a new place).
Any advice appreciated!

Keep in mind that you have Regensburg or Bamberg that are lovely places to visit. Perhaps not too far from Nuremberg. However, Prague is easily worth spending two days visiting that city. Thanks! I am not a fan of Venice or Paris but Prague looks very different from many of the European cities I have visited over the years.
We are already visiting Bamberg and Regensburg on this trip and look forward to both!

If you only have 2 days then 7.5 hours of that time is on the bus. It's 3.75 hours each way plus the time to get to the bus station in Nurmberg and then figuring out where to go in Prague. Everything takes a lot of time when you travel so you'd really only have 1 to 1.5 full days in Prague. As beautiful as it is you would want more time there; plan another trip when you can devote 4 or 5 full days to this city.
