We will be spending four nights in Vienna followed by four in Prague. We are staying very near the Opera in Vienna and about halfway between the castle and the Charles Bridge in Prague.

I am interested in specific restaurant suggestions for either city. Casual restaurants preferred, but a suggestion for a "more dressy" restaurant in Vienna would also be appreciated.

It has been a few years now, but in Vienna we thought Restaurant Steirereck was spectacular for food, service, and atmosphere. http://steirereck.at/

Thanks so much for the info and the link maitaitom. We will be there in a couple weeks, so the warm weather will probably not be in play yet, but we may still stop there nonetheless.
