We are planning a trip next year, and would like to see Southern Italy (Almalfi, Capri etc.) for about 10 days. Since we are already in Europe, I would love to visit Prague for 4-5 days. Is this a good idea, taking into consideration the travel time, costs and time we have? Also, would 4-5 days in Prague be good enough? Thanks.

Not good by rail. The best I can find in the Thomas Cook European Timetable is Prague Hlavni (beware pickpockets) 0730, Regensburg1238 to 1244, buffet car train, Munich 1320 to 2031, Capri Express with 1, 2 and 3 berh sleepers, 6 berth couchettes, and a buffet car, Naples 1050. Or Prague Hlavni 2145, sleepers, Munich 0636 to 0930, restaurant car train, Rome 2002 to 2027, buffet car train, Naples 2224. Take sleeper night train Naples-Venice<BR>-stroll Venice for a day<BR>Take sleeper night train Venice-Vienna<BR>-stagger around Vienna for a day<BR>-onward to Prague for 2 day visit<BR>-fly home from Prague

If that is what you want to see then by all means do it. I personally would find a flight from naples to Prague instead of spending the time on trains. 4-5 days is plenty in Prague.
