Pragu/Berlin/ Dresden????
last summer I planed a visit to P/B
but ended up in Paris and Amsterdam ....oh, well
So, for this July I am considering the following itinerary ( I have to fly in and out of Berlin - air miles!):
Arrive: Berlin July 15 (noon)
stay 16,17,18
19 train to Prague ( noon)
stay Prague: 20-24
25 train to Dresden (noon)
26 Dresden
27 train to Berlin (morning)
28 Berlin
29 fly home
I have never visited the 3 cities and would appreciate your suggestions
I am staying in a private apt. in Prague.
Berlin hotels : Melia, Moevenpick or similar ( no more than 100 euros)???
thanks

Been to all three and enough has been written about Prague and Berlin. I found Dresden to be quite fun with good resturants, shopping and some sights. It is not a Prague but for a one day visit it is different. From the train station the transportation to the tourist areas is easy. If you like to walk the distances aren't that far.

We did a trip a few years ago that included Prague and Berlin, along with Amsterdam. We stayed for about the same lengths of time as you are planning in Berlin and Prague and found both to be "just right". If anything, I would add a day to Berlin and drop one from Prague, but that's because I'm always (ALWAYS!) jet-lagged on arrival, so the next day is never a full day for me (I always sleep in on the day after arriving).

thank you.
I have been able to get the ticket flying into Prague and out of Berlin after all.
I also have problems with jet-lag , so I'll have to see how things go in Prague : 4 or 5 full days (?).
I hope to have time for a day and a half in Dresden and 5 full days in Berlin.

If you do a search using just my first name (Rufus) you should find my Prague/Berlin trip report from 2 years ago. It might have some info you can use, though our hotels were a bit over 100 euros as I remember.
