Look at the power supply (a.k.a. "brick" or AC adapter) that came with your computer.
If it says 110-240VAC (or similar), all you need is a plug adapter to fit the plug into a European socket.
On the off chance it's a single-voltage device, you also need a transformer to change the European voltage to 110.

If the IBM was manufactured within the past 6 or 7 years, it is dual voltage, and, as already mentioned, all you will need is the plug adapter ($2 to $3 in any travel store).
You might want to consider a portable surge protector if you plan on leaving the unit plugged in for any length of time.
