Positano Hotels

My husband and I are used to 5 star hotels but Le Sirenuse seems pricey for what it is. Where is the next best place to stay? We are pretty much debating between Covo di Saraceini or Palazzo Murat. Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

You asked this question on another post days ago...click on your name (in blue) and you will see the answers. Prices are high because Positano is prime tourist territory!

I did not ask about Palazzo Murat. Let me know if anyone has info on it. We are staying at Palazzo Sasso in Ravello and want a nice place in Positano that isnt too pricey

Palazzo Murat is beautiful, but it is not on the beach, as is Covo. The prices certainly are fairly reasonable at PM.

You want Palazzo Murat or the Poseidon.

Is it better to stay on the beach or in the hills?

Neither of your two hotels is in the hills. PM is within the town and Covo is next to the beach and also the ferry dock. Lots of activity around there in high season!

Either way, be prepared to hike lots and lots of steps!

I can only tell you that we loved the Poseidon. Very good service for the price, and a wonderful restaurant. The pool area was great and we loved having meals or drinks by the pool. The Poseidon is just below Sirenuse.
