Positano Accommodations

Has anyone stayed in the Hostel in Positano? Looking for accommodations in the $50/max Cdn range. On a tight budget. What about rooms in private rooms? Any leads would be helpful. Not stuck on Positano as a destination. If there is something cheaper elsewhere we are open to being mobile. Thanks.

We stayed there last month. It's the best deal in Positano! Run by lovely people.

Hi Julie,
I, too, am seeking inexpensive accommodations in Positano or elsewhere. Will be visiting the area for the first time in late Sept and am in the research process. In Positano: Hotel Bougainville , Celeste,Maria Luisa, and Santa Caterina appear to be within your price range. Also read of a 50 yr old fisherman (Alex) who rents rooms in his home at a resonable price ph 08-875360. As you may know, Sorrento seems to have a greater variety of lower priced hotels, and better transportation connections. However, I think the beaches are much better in Positano. Are you traveling solo as well? If so, have you gotten any sense of where a "non-honeymooner" might be more comfortable? thanks and good luck!

Sorry I can't be of any help--I too have an inquiry.
I will be in Positano late September and booked the Hotel Buca di Bacco. Has anyone stayed there? Would love to hear any comments.

What kind of weather is typical the last week of September? Warm enough for the beach?

We booked at Hotel Certosa just north of Positano for October. It was recommended by travelers on this board as well as another. 130.000L with breakfast for a double. Their restaurant is supposed be great. I made the reservation by e-mail, and the response was quick, cheerful and efficient.

E-mail: [email protected]
www.hotelcertosa.com

Buon Viaggio
