Porto. Thanks for your guidance.
Thanking everyone. Here are some high level thoughts. If you crave details, or have questions, please ask.
1. Porto has hills and steps galore. Choose accordingly, depending on your knees.
2. The Bolt app operates like Uber and saved more than 2/3 on our way back to the airport vs. leaving the airport by taxi.
3. Pousada de Porto was a terrific hotel and a steal. It is perfectly located! Two others share the location but cost a little more: PortoBay and Casa da Companhia.
4. The 90- minute tour and tasting at the sardine cannery was a lot of fun…ages 11-99 would like it.
5. The 50-minute river cruise under six bridges was enjoyable.
6. The 30-minute tour of Palacio Bolsa also was worthwhile.
7. Honestly, Livraria Lello I could have skipped.
8. A day trip to Coimbra: we used train and Bolt, was superb. It is an old university with much to see.
9. We liked the morning “free” tour with Porto Walkers.
10. Congo and Casa Guedes were two of our favorite restaurants. Bifanas and pernil, their respective pork sandwich specialties, are wonderful and inexpensive.
11. Cork Planet is a museum about something about which I knew little. It is on the Gaia side of the river and is good for anyone, 10 to 100.

Maitaitom, your trip report with the gorgeous photos, helped me so much in planning my Porto trip. assure you, we also went inside so many churches, each more gilded than the other. But nothing compared to the Library at Coimbra.
Your trip report on Mexico City also was essential reading! We went to see the Gran Hotel’s ceiling next to the Zocalo only because of you, and then suggested everyone else go. We also found CDMX safe, easy, and we did not get sick, but we were very careful about water and food. Thanks again.
