Why would someone be so so obvious as to use his own name
Could not this be someone doing something so transparent that someone else is trying to make Jimbo look bad - like a competitor knowing using Jimbo's name was so obvious it would backfire.
Does not seem to pass the smell test in this regard -maybe we should not jump to conclusions and thus be dupes?

Because cheaters are seldom smart . . . .
Probably close to 50% of the posts I've flagged for the editors were by screen names obviously linked to the business involved.

strange that he would use his real name but then go to the trouble of misspelling (on purpose?) the town where his business resides and then, misspelling the name of his own business!!!
it also seems that pegasus is a british company with british guides. we britons would NEVER say 'transportation' nor would we ever spell 'organised' with a z.
perhaps all smokescreens but i do think it would be very unusual to misspell ones own business name (whether it be by accident or on purpose). this would just go against human nature.
the little detectives here aren't so clever and your dodgy detective work is shoddy...probably falsely accusing this business of fraud which is quite serious.

I agree, it is surprising how many advertisers on here post with a screenname that is obviously linked to their business. that's not quite the same as a complaint, however.
I do remember one guy on here who forgot the bogus name he had created (he had two of them), so he answered himself about his own business but forgot to change his screenname, it was really funny. I remember one poster said -- hey, moron, you forgot to change your screenname and now you are answering yourself. I remember -- it was a guy trying to sell some book he came up with where he took photos of hotel do not disturb signs. He wanted people on Fodors to buy this book or something, so he asked people to send him cards he had, and then would try to sell them the book or something. He even had a website so was easy to trace.
The problem was that when people said they didn't like the idea and thought it was lame, who would want to buy such a book -- he tried to pose as a different person and said he thought it was a great idea, where could he find out more -- only he forgot to change his screenname from his own. It ws really funny.
Now if this were a competitor, this would be legally actionable in the US, from what I've read.

well, I just saw the last post -- I personally didn't think it was the competitor, I thought it was someone who just wanted to complain but didn't really have a case and knew it, so didn't post details

Oh - fer cryin out loud!. I never said I was dead sure about anything. I said I seriously doubt he has a valid complaint.
Maybe in your dictionary (I'm sure you wrote one of those too) doubt = sure . . . . .

One of the issues here, is that Myriam and Battlebus already have a bank of good will on this forum, and jimpt (OP) doesn't, and with this first posting, isn't likely to get it.
The OP's quote is "After exchanging 2 emails where I was asking questions about transportation, Myriam (who is the owner) became very angry and refused to take my booking. I was shocked at her rude behavior.
Battlebus may be a very popular company and they may do a great job. Just don't ask them any questions! Maybe they are so successful that they can refuse business and treat potential customers with disdain. I thought it was terrible behavior and would never consider using them again."
Anyone, including Myriam, could, I suppose, have a cranky day, and perhaps something in the email text exchanged struck OP as rude (rude may not have been in the actual words on the page), but then they 'refused' OP's booking. That's puzzling. But even OP says that they "may be popular" and "they may do a good job". They are and they do, for most people who post about them.
I have sometimes read postings in which someone in an otherwise pleasant hotel ran into a rude night clerk, or a broken air conditioner, and the conclusion was that the hotel should be avoided.
I try not to let one person's bad day, or even ongoing crankiness, affect my plans. I agree that those who depend on customers have to try hard to be sunny all the time, but we're all human. Sometimes we are taken as rude and don't even intend it, or aren't aware of it. If the staff is rude and/or doesn't deliver on service,if reported problems aren't corrected, that's entirely different, to me. That's when I'll avoid it.

yeah, and maybe wouldn't have posted an identical complaint on frommers.com, complete with the final tout for Pegasus (and yet the Pegasus tour supposedly hadn't happened yet)
I wonder if "Mr Pegasus" knows about this, unless OP IS Mr. Pegasus.

Hi,
We are of to the area of France and Belgium to look at war museums, landings etc in July. I emailed 2 companies one is the one above that is mentioned and she was so helpful. She didn't ahve to reply as she really doesn't run tours for Australians. Maybe it was just a bad day on someones part.

I was hoping this thread would sink quickly to the bottom and never replied to, since it was fairly obvious this was a competitor plant. Or as Raymond Chandler said: that plant was so obvious, you could water it.

How do you folks ready to say Pegasus' owner is already guilty respond to walkin's very salient points?
