Pompeii luggage storage

I know there is luggage storage for free at the entrance site but trying to find recent info on whether the Scavi train station has luggage storage also.

from seat61.com:

Left luggage offices & lockers in Italy...

Rome Termini, Florence SMN, Turin Porta Nuova, Milan Centrale, Venice Santa Lucia, Verona Porta Nuova, Bologna Centrale, Naples Centrale all have a staffed left luggage office.

Opening hours are 06:00-23:00 in Rome Termini, 06:00-23:00 in Milan Centrale, 06:00-23:00 in Florence SMN, 08:00-20:00 in Turin Porta Nuova, 06:00-23:00 Venice Santa Lucia, 07:00-21:00 Verona Porta Nuova, 06:00-22:00 Bologna & 07:00-23:00 Naples Centrale.

The price per bag is €6 for the first 5 hours, then €0.90 per hour for 6-12 hours, then €0.40 per hour for the thirteenth & later hours. There's a weight limit which may or may not be enforced in practice, 20Kg per item.

Maximum length of deposit 5 days.

To check left luggage opening hours & prices at these major stations, go to www.grandistazioni.it. Click 'English' top right, then click the relevant station on the map. Now click 'station services' on the left then 'Left Luggage' on the right.

There are also left luggage facilities at Pisa Centrale, Venice Mestre, Trieste, Genoa Brignole, Genoa Piazza Principe, La Spezia, Ventimiglia, Treviso, Padua, Pescara, Ancona, Pesaro, Assisi, Perugia, Bari, Messina, Palermo, Catania.

There are no left luggage facilities at Rome Tiburtina, Milan Porta Garibaldi or at smaller stations including Florence Campo di Marte, Florence Rifredi, Rome Ostiense, Turin Porta Susa, Civitavecchia, San Remo, Livorno, Lucca, Siena (though the nearby bus station has a facility), Montepulciano, Modena, Ravenna, Peschiera del Garda, Orvieto, Rimini, Brindisi, Lecce, Taranto, Reggio di Calabria, Salerno, Siracuse, Pompeii, Sorrento.

To check whether a station has a deposito bagagli, go to www.trenitalia.com. Click 'IN REGIONE' top right, then select the relevant Italian region. Although this does not show the price or opening hours.

Anything to do with Trenitalia won't help - the Circumvesuviana is a private rail line.

To answer your question - yes the station does have left luggage. It costs about 1 euro per bag. The storage office is down the stairs to the tunnel that goes under the tracks and is beside the women's toilets.

>>>yes the station does have left luggage.<<<

The Circumvesuviana website does not list that under services available for Pompeii Scavi station (select your station and click open under services). It could be things have changed (or they do a lousy job with their website), but you would still have the option of using the Pompeii luggage storage at the entrance if the station storage is no longer open.

If storage is available at the station, be sure to check hours open. I've found some station services in Italy close early afternoon for several hours.

It has left luggage - I know because I have seen it in the last six months. I haven't used it as I have no need to. It is open all day as I was passing through around 3pm.

Websites are not updated regularly for this rail line so directing someone to visit it or quoting from the CV website is unhelpful. People who have actually been there and/or used the service are more reliable.
