poggibonsi train station

does anyone know if there is parking at this train station? we are thinking of driving from greve and leaving the rental car to take the train to sienna. we are planning this for the day of palio and know there wont be enough parking in sienna. we are not loking for palio advice....just parking....lol

I was intrigued by the name of the station so did a bit of Googling . This website indiates that there is free parking behind the station

I would be inclined to park at Poggibonsi station, but take the bus into Siena. (All the regular Siena-Florence buses stop about 100 metres up the road from the station.)

The reason I say this, is because the bus arrives just on the outskirts of Siena at Piazza Gramsci - an easy walk to the Campo, whereas the train station is at the bottom of the hill about a mile from the town.
