Po River cruise

We are thinking of doing a river cruise between Venice and Cremona. Whilst we know the area in general we have never done a river cruise. Any views/comments?

Hi uktravelover, I have read complaints several years ago, in Conde Nast I believe, from passengers that were not happy with their cruises. Personally I do not know anything about them. I would want to hear from others that have done this, it does sound lovely. Hopefully some Fodorites have done this and can tell you about their experiences.

I think I read that all Po crusies had to be cancelled this year because of low water levels.

Thanks for your comments. I think that Jules Verne Travel do one, but trying to get a response from them via their website is challenging! I may have to resort to the trusty travel agent.

If the Po water level is too low we may look at the ones on the Rhone.

Hi uktravelover, just out of curiosity I went to Google and typed in Po River Boat Cruises. A few website showed up with information. I don't know when you want to do a cruise, would it be in 2007? There doesn't appear to be any cruises the rest of this year. But anyway do Google this..it will give you some good information. Best wishes.
