Samaritaine has closed, reportedly as a result of safety concerns.

Or you can go to Balzar. It just isn't gonna be a restaurant.

You may want to check out Les Editeurs which is closeby to the Millesime. We ate there on Monday and it was full for lunch even after 2 p.m. http://www.lesediteurs.fr/carte.htm

We also tried Vesuvio and it was another packed place. We thought the pizza was just allright but it is very popular there as 90% of the patrons ordered it.

I 3rd or 4th the Brasserie D'Isle St Louis. If you decide to do this you can take a slow walk along the Seine and walk around Notre Dame on your way. You can sit outside, weather permitting, and enjoy a drink, then have dinner. They have a great onion tart as an appitizer and they specialize in charcroute and cassolet. But definately drink a bottle of their Bourgogne, red, with dinner.

We always have lunch when we arrive, at nearby Les Deux Magots Good sandwiches, salads, and croque madames. For something more, there's Allard, a short walk away from the rue Jacob.

Cafe Bonaparte - just a block away from the LDM and CL. We ate outside at the sidewalk tables and enjoyed people-watching folks in the square - and listening to JAZZ played at the corner next to LDM. It will always be my first lunch in Paris from now on. Close to your hotel. Stop at Laduree nearby for macaroons or chocolate for dessert.
