Pisa Central Railway station luggage storage ??

Have read some mixed comments about this ... is there storage facility there for large suitcases, not just hand luggage.
We want to leave luuage there while we look around Pisa, prior to getting back on and travelling to Florence.
Thanks,

You can keep large luggage at the Pisa railway station. There is a big luggage storage room where the service is manual. You need to deposit luggage at the counter with copy of your passport. It is very convenient. Last November, we kept our 4 large luggages and went to see Leaning tower by bus. We came back in 2 hours time and then bought a ticket for next train to Rome.

We left our luggage there while exploring the tower area. We did have to wait to retrieve our luggage because they all took an afternoon break at the same time. There was a sign posted as to when it would reopen, but the time wasn't closely adhered to that day. It was really easy though, and a great way to see the tower without having to tote your luggage. It was to the right when you entered from the trains.

The luggage storage is at Pisa Centrale station, the main station for Pisa. (Pisa has more than one station, but they are smaller and don't have luggage storage.)
