Perfumeries in Florence?
Has anyone ever bought personalized or handmade perfumed lotion in Florence? Have you ever been to a perfume shop that will make a scent for you?
If so, what was that like? Was is pricey? Do you have any suggestions?

Be sure to visit the Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella at Via della Scalla 16. Great place, the present pharmacy dates from 1612 and it's beautiful. They make all sorts of perfumes, colognes, soaps, oils, etc. We visit every time in Florence and my wife brings home a new scent and some gifts. As you can tell by the name it's close to Santa Maria Novella church and train station.

Thank you guys! you all are sooo cool!
Is the perfume very expensive there? I am funny about perfumes and tend to like things that smell clean and fresh or slightly fruity...but have not yet grasped a liking to the floral yet.

Sorry, I didn't know she had been answered on another thread.
My wife likes fragrances, many of them. Of the ones from SMN she likes the Rosa, Cuba, and Vanilla. She'd buy more but I told her the most important liquid we're taking back is red wine! HA She usually buys 1 or 2 fragrances each trip. I think it's very reasonable in price.
They have so very many it's hard for her to decide. They have some nice things for men there also, shaving kits, mugs, soaps, etc.
