our card are mostly hand written but my wife’s name is not a complete match to her passport. She has 2 last names and in the card they only wrote one. Do you think that might be an issue in Europe?

The information in this post is now 6 months old and things change quickly. I don't know if you are travelling in the countries this post is tagged for (I assume not), but each country has its own method of showing you are OK to travel. For instance, Belgium has the CST (Covid Safe Ticket), which is only acceptable in Belgium. Because Belgium is now a code yellow (i.e. not at risk), they are not using the CST currently, except for travel. To keep on top of the changes for requirements in Belgium, use these websites:
https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/travels/
https://www.info-coronavirus.be/en/covidsafeticket/
I know this doesn't answer your question but I think when you apply for a CST through the app you put in your own details and upload an image of your CDC card. Here is a description by an American traveller about their experience:

It is a little out of date because it precedes the latest code yellow conditions, which were announced March 7 2022. But you can apply before you leave and find out if the image of the CDC card was acceptable or not, while you still have a possibility to change things in the US.

Anyone return from Belgium recently?
We’re traveling to Bruges and Ghent next month and we only have our CDC cards (no digital certificate). We’ll be coming from AMS. Is a digital COVID VAX pass *currently* required for indoor dining, activities and museums? I’m seeing conflicting info from different websites. Thank you.
