Passage Dauphine, 75006
I would like to know more about Passage Dauphine; I know where it is, and I've read that L'Heure Gourmande has one of the best hot chocolates in the city, but what else? Les Halles has a map available. I read somewhere that there are a number of "passages" in Paris that are covered tiny streets of shops. I am staying nearby next year and look forward to checking this out, but want to learn more in advance-

You might want to start reading Degas' guide to Paris passages: http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...es-revised.cfm
Also, if you google Paris passages you'll come up with more information.

I discovered the Passages my last trip. Worth a side-trip.

I've been there, it's just a street as far as I'm concerned. sure, a very small one in-between rue Mazarine and rue Christine, but it's just a street and not very long so there can't be much on it. There are small pedestrian-only streets all over Paris. I guess it's an attractive one as far as they go, since it's in an expensive part of town. It isn't any special destination or anything that I can think of.

I've been there, too. Yes, it is just a narrow street no much different from other narrow streets.
The GALERIE VIVIENNE is a covered passage often featured in travel magazines. It felt more like a hotel lobby.
The GALERIE VERO-DODAT felt more utilitarian. It probably didn't help that I went there when all the stores were closed.
