Park Hotel

Next June, we will disembark from a cruise in Amsterdam. We want to stay over one night to see some of the city sites. At the moment, the best deal I see is for the Park Hotel which is listed as a 4 star at $135.
Is this a clean, safe hotel for one night?

CBee, log onto channels.nl - it's a website devoted to reviews of hotels, restaurants, and a lot more in Amsterdam. You'll also be able to get into bookings.nl from the site, where you might find a better rate or a different hotel.
The Park is located slightly out of the center and closer to the museum district. I walked by it and it's on a busy street. It seemed like a safe location to me. Anyway, check out channels.nl and you can see photos of the Park.

I checked Channels nl and at the booking nl, they have another 4star called Hotel Amsterdam Roode Leeuw that is right in city center and it was remodelled in 2001-2002. Any comments?

CBee,

If I'm not mistaken, ParkHotel was recently downgraded to a 3-star. There were a few recent reviews/comments on www.biddingfortravel.com
