Paris Velolib maps?

Are there maps available of all of the Velolib bicycle stations? Seems like it would save time to know where to drop off the bikes.

Merci

They have also started marking the pavement in certain areas with arrows indicating where the stations are.

And they have also clearly marked which bus lanes are NOT authorized for bicycles. A lot of people use ANY bus lane with a bike, but they shouldn't -- not all of them have been widened for buses and bicycles to use the lane together.

There was another Vélib death yesterday involving a bus.

L'Indispensable produce a pocket-size booklet set of maps showing Velib stations - mine cost €6 - but then, my old street map of Paris was falling apart anyway.

Kerouac,
You shouldn't have told us about the death. I spent two months convincing my better half that using the Velib was not dangerous, now with this news, I dont know if she will try it next year.

Five times more pedestrians are killed by vehicles in Paris. Will you dare to walk?

On a bike, you always have the option to get off and walk on the pavement (sidewalk) if you find the traffic too heavy or a junction too difficult. For what it's worth, in two weeks in August, I only found the traffic that difficult in a couple of locations - and fairly obvious ones at that.

And yes, it does make sense to know before you start at least roughly where you want to leave the bike: the economical way to use it is for one trip at a time, like a taxi, rather than for a whole period of time.

Unfortunately the statistic about five times more pedestrians being killed in traffic reinforces just how scary it is to ride a bike in Paris traffic.
There are likely 1000 pedestrians for every cyclist.
Strange stuff statistics.
