The article was so interesting and I loved the photo of the Metro cars(how did they get that sign across the way with a moving car? Luck or 200 tries! And the one from the top of the Montparnasse Tower, I've seen it many times. but this was beautiful plus---how enhanced was it, do you think?

Probably luck for the Métro cars. The lucky photo gets published, and the 300 other unlucky photos get thrown away.

I'd like to know what camera and lenses Katie Orlinsky used for these photos. They look an awful lot like photos shot with Leica glass.

The Montparnasse photo was probably adjusted for contrast and other minor things, but not hugely enhanced. On a clear evening the view is excellent, although clear evenings are not common in Paris.

We went up the Montparnasse tower the other day, sort of against my wishes, but our Paris friend wanted to take us,, so we did. It was SO worth it! there is a new Terrasse Panoramique, which is several meters above the viewing floor, with thick glass all around, for the heights-challenged, like myself, but offers unmediated views that are staggering.
and, as they say, while there, you don't have to have that ugly tower spoiling your view!!

>>with thick glass all around, for the heights-challenged, like myself<<

I know what you mean. I felt wonderfully safe on the inside at the top of the Tour Montparnasse

I was really enjoying the panorama - till the window-cleaners in their cradle lurched into the top of my field of view.
