There is TGV service from Paris to Lille, France, and from there, there are local trains to Brugge. This is in addition to Thalys trains from Paris to Brussels.
You can check train stuff at:
www.sncf.fr (French train site), where you can also buy tickets for these routes, or:
www.bahn.de (German rail site), click TIMETABLES in the left-hand column for English page. This site is good for checking train scedules all over Europe.

I should have added--you can take te Thalys (high speed) from Paris to Brussels, and from Brussels then you should be able to get to Brugge.
The direct train from Brussels to Brugge takes about an hour to 1:20; there are also trains where you would have to change again, which I woud avaoid. For whatever reason, I can't find out which Brussels station you need to be at (there are 3!). Check out this website for more info http://www.b-rail.be/E/index.php

I think Brussels is an underrated city and I think it's definitely worth a stop--others may disagree. Antwerp and Ghent are also worth visiting. Paris, in my opinion, is quite simply one of the best cities in the world so Brugge and Brussels don't really compare--there's really only a day or two's worth of activities in those cities versus weeks in Paris, so plan your trip accordingly.

If you do the Paris Brussels Brugge route, you will be taking the Thalys to Brussels Midi (Brussel Zuid), then catching a train to Brugge from there. It's very easy. You will arrive on tracks 3 to 6 and depart on tracks 12-16. There are trains to Brugge twice an hour from Brussels. They are very nice trains and stop only once (in Ghent). The final destinations for the trains to Brugge are either Oostende or Blankenberge.
You can take a Thalys to Brugge without changing trains but I advise against this as the schedule for that train is quite limited, while there are many Thalys trains to Brussels from Paris each day and you would then have the flexibility to spend a little time in Brussels. I think the route through Brussels is more convenient than through Lille, although that is possible as well.
Although Brugge is a much prettier city, Brussels has its attractions. For a brief, pass-through visit, you should visit the Grand'Place and the Sablon.
Brussels airport is quite manageable and there are trains at least 3 times per hour from Brussels to the airport.
Train fares from Brussels to Brugge can be cheap, as little as $12 or so on week-ends. However, Brugge is much more enjoyable during the week when it is less crowded.
