Paris studio rentals on a budget?
Lots of Web sites out there that I'm browsing through, but I wonder if anyone here has any particular recommendations for a stay of a week or so in September. Location is not a consideration, as long as a Metro stop is nearby (and where isn't that true, really?). Thanks.

Hi SemiMike - This is the little 'nest' we will be renting in August. It looks just what we would be happy with especially the price: 100euro a day. Cheaper than most 3 star hotels.

We stayed here at Christmas, for €300 for the whole week: http://www.slowtrav.com/cl/detail.asp?l=1208
You can see our comments on our trip report (do a search for Bikerscott and you can link to the trip report there).
Would we rent again - in a heartbeat...as long as you can do 6 flights of stairs!

Last year we stayed a week in a studio (simple but nice) at the Paris Zen Center (http://www.maisonzen.com/) for 70 euros a night. It's located in a quiet courtyard off the rue de Lyon, a little closer to the Bastille than to the Gare de Lyon. You don't have to be a Buddhist or take part in any activities there. We liked it very much.

We had a good experience with RentParis. We stayed in a great little studio in the heart of the Marais, right above a heavenly-smelling patisserie. It's still only 75E per night, based on a week's stay. It's #11 on their web site: www.rentparis.com. Lots of good testimonials on the page, too, click on "Buzz".

SemiMike - Are you considering an apartment for budget purposes only or do you want to prepare some meals, be able to do laundry etc. etc.?
I ask because you can stay in a VERY nice hotel for less than 45 euros for a double en-suite right next to the metro almost.

I have 4 days booked at the Esplanade La Defense in July.
Our room has a view over the Seine - from the metro you look directly at the Arc de Triomphe.

My husband and I stayed at a tiny studio in Paris for just $99 a night in February.
We were looking for a very budget-y week, and this little place was perfect. You need to be able to handle stairs though, it's up a couple of flights, but the location was perfect for us ... as was the price. I'd be happy to answer any questions on it you might have.
And good luck with your search.

Stayed here in October 2007 ( 2adults) at the time it was $900 for the week (looks like it went up to 1330). Good location near Metro.

SemiMike,
A place we've looked into but never stayed at:
Dave and Aralynn's "Paris Garrett"..in the 11th.(Google same)
Supposed to be a gem and at 300E/week, it's a find.
One caveat: it's on the 6th floor, no elevator.
Bon Voyage,
Kathy

Hi,
You can have a look at the Family Residence, located in Paris 15
not expensive at all. http://www.parishotelsfrance.com/par...idence_75.html
